About Me
Meg Taylor, MS, MA, BCC
I am passionate about empowering adults and families impacted by ADHD to create the changes they need to thrive personally, socially, academically, and professionally. For nearly 30 years, I have collaborated with children, teens, parents and adults in my roles as ADHD coach, consultant, mental health counselor, teacher, community organizer, and family services nonprofit director. I practice within a strengths-based, neurodiversity affirming model and partner with clients to identify their gifts or "sparks", while helping to develop new strategies, tools and reframing to approach current challenges. Together, we clarify goals and work towards understanding and removing the obstacles that interfere with performance and wellbeing.
I am a Board Certified Coach (BCC), hold a M.A. in Mental Health Counseling, M.S. in Secondary Education, a Certificate in Coaching Children and Teens with ADHD (UNH), a Certificate in Coaching Neurodiverse Learners (JST Coaching), am Certified with the Institute of Certified ADHD Professionals, and am a Licensed Teacher (Grades 5-12). In addition, I am an accredited provider of evidence-based behavioral parent training (BPT) programs for parents of children and adolescents with ADHD and executive function deficits and have completed clinical trainings in strength-based interventions for adults with ADHD. During my counseling graduate program, I conducted an independent study designing a multi system, psychoeducation and skills-focused peer coaching group intervention for individuals with ADHD. In my counseling role, I have supported educators, parents, and students (K-college) with learning differences/disabilities and have experience with mental health screenings, assessments, individual, family, group, and career counseling, interventions for self-regulation, as well as, training in special education law and advocacy.
Since 2017, I have also served as Founder of Valley ADHD, an online resource and support center for adults and families living with ADHD in Western Massachusetts. In partnership with the behavioral health team at Northampton Area Pediatrics, Valley ADHD offers a free, monthly ADHD Parent/Caregiver Support Group and parent consultations.
My self-care includes hiking in the woods, caring for the plants and animals that live on my farm, and hanging out with my perfectly imperfect family.
