About Me
Meg Taylor, M.S., ADHD-CE
For over 25 years, I have collaborated with children, teens, adults, and families in my roles as classroom teacher, camp director, community organizer, family services nonprofit director, education consultant, coach, and proud parent of a child with ADHD. I am passionate about educating and empowering adults and families impacted by ADHD to create the changes they need to thrive. My practice is rooted in a strengths-based, neurodiversity affirming model as I partner with clients to identify their gifts, "sparks", and new ways to approach or think about current challenges.
Originally from the midwest, I earned a B.A. from Miami University and a M.S. in Secondary Education from Antioch University. I am a licensed teacher for grades 5-12 in the state of Massachusetts. In addition, I earned a Certificate in Coaching Children and Teens with ADHD from the University of New Hampshire and am certified with the Institute of Certified ADHD Professionals. I have completed advanced trainings in evidence based programs for adolescents with executive function deficits and ADHD, mindfulness based interventions for ADHD, special education law and advocacy, and am an accredited provider of Triple P, a research supported behavioral parent training program. In addition, I am finishing a M.A. in Mental Health Counseling with completed course work in learning differences and disabilities, clinical assessment, career, family, youth, individual and group counseling, and an independent study designing a multi system, psychoeducation and skills-focused group intervention for individuals with ADHD.
Since 2017, I have served as co-facilitator of an ADHD Parent Support Group in partnership with the behavioral health team at Northampton Area Pediatrics and in January of 2020, I launched Valley ADHD, an online resource and support center for adults and families living with ADHD in the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts. In early 2021, I started an Adults with ADHD Support Group.
My self-care includes hiking in the woods, caring for the plants and animals that live on my farm, and hanging out with my perfectly imperfect family.
