Coaching

ADHD support for Adults, Parents and College Students
As an ADHD coach, I work with adults, college students and parents impacted by ADHD to meet a client's specific needs and goals. I offer the structure, strategies, progress monitoring, and practical support necessary to change behavior and move a client towards their personal, family, academic, or occupational goals.

Adults

Working in partnership with adults, I provide understanding, acceptance, encouragement, and support for goal-setting, planning and prioritization, organization, task initiation and monitoring, time management, working memory and self-regulation. Practicing self compassion while learning how to adapt and integrate executive function tools and strategies into daily routines allows adult clients to feel more capable and confident in their personal, interpersonal and work lives.

Parents

Working together with parents and caregivers, I provide understanding, non judgement, education, systems, strategies, and resources to deal with challenging ADHD behaviors and related executive function skill deficits. In essence, I coach parents how to more effectively approach their child or teen's self-regulation deficits and create needed structures to improve daily family life. This approach is also known as behavioral parent training (BPT) or parent behavior management training.

College Students

In collaboration with student clients, I provide education and structure for supporting young adults with goal-setting, planning and prioritization, task initiation, motivation, organization, time management, working memory, metacognition and self-monitoring. Understanding and learning how to overcome obstacles and apply executive function strategies allows college students to become more effective and independent in their personal, social and academic lives.

ADHD coaches support their clients in developing a comprehensive understanding of both the nature of ADHD and the impact of ADHD on their client’s quality of life. In addition, ADHD coaches work with clients to create structures, support, skills, and strategies. Coaching assists clients with ADHD to stay focused on their goals, face obstacles, address core ADHD-related issues like time management, organization, and self-esteem, gain clarity and function more effectively.
